The 1985 Club honors the year that TJ converted to a full-time STEM-focused magnet school, admitting the Class of 1989 (including TJ Principal Mike Mukai!) and beginning the school's legacy as America's premier secondary STEM school!
1985 Club members receive unique benefits and recognition opportunities, including permanent acknowledgement on a large plaque that will be affixed and hang in TJ's Auditorium Lobby in early 2026!
The TJ Partnership Fund STEM Society recognizes those partners who set up recurring monthly donations or have donated at least $250 in at least two consecutive years! Consistency in giving helps us to plan year-over-year for the level of support that we can offer to TJ through our various Grant programs.
STEM Society members receive exclusive swag items and tickets to our end-of-year Celebration of Research Excellence - among other benefits!
Want your team, group, or class to be remembered forever? It’s easy through our Classroom Plaque program! Simply reach out to the Partnership Fund and let us know that you want to start a campaign for your group with a leadership gift and we’ll set up the rest. Plaques currently exist that honor athletic teams, alumni classes, and legendary TJ faculty and staff members – and we can’t wait to see who’s next!
Spaces available for sponsorship begin at $10,000 and include classrooms, common areas, STEM labs, offices, and even restrooms! (Yes, really!) Once the campaign starts, share it with your friends, put it in the group chat, bring in others to help, and watch as your group crosses the finish line!

Did you know that you can donate stocks and other assets for tax benefits? The TJ Partnership Fund can accept gifts of stock through our relationship with Merrill Lynch, immediately sell them, and credit you with their value. Many employers offer gift matching programs whereby employers agree to match employee donations to a nonprofit organization. Please click here to find out if your employer contributes matching gifts. Once directed, please follow the prompts given and go through your own employer portal to set up matching gifts. If you do not see the Partnership Fund on your employer portal, please contact your HR department to have it added or reach out directly to our staff for more information.
