Techstravaganza is an opportunity for TJ students to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for STEM with the public. Visitors to this annual event learn from dozens of student-led and corporate-sponsored demonstrations and can participate in hands-on STEM activities. From Rocketry to Chemistry to Robotics and so much more, young aspiring scientists are sure to be inspired by the amazing diversity of displays.
The 2025 edition of Techstravaganza welcomed approximately 3,000 total visitors and 400 students from Title I schools. Over 200 TJ students and several representatives from local STEM companies created amazing displays, exhibits, and activities for the enjoyment of their guests. Registration for Techstravaganva 2026 will open later this year!
Techstravaganza is hosted by TJ's Tomorrow's Women in Science and Technology (TWIST), a student-led organization committed to increasing diversity and female participation in STEM activities. This free event is supported by area sponsorships, donations, and grants. Funding goes towards lab materials, set-up, and the bus transportation system. To increase accessibility, TWIST provides buses to and from schools of high interest, with priority given to Title I elementary schools, on the day of Techstravaganza.
The TJ Partnership Fund awarded a grant of $21,712 to support this amazing event in FY2025. Sponsorship opportunities with high visibility are available to individuals and corporations who support the event through the Partnership Fund. For more information on how to support Techstravaganza and its impact on young students, reach out to Mark Gray-Mendes at mgraymendes@tjpartnershipfund.org.
