Faculty and Students
Faculty and students can help the partnership fund identify the needs for research:
The Partnership Fund is committed to helping meet the direct and immediate academic and research needs of the faculty and students in pursuit of TJ's mission. Our primary constituency traditionally has been TJ's labs, because they are so vital to our school's unique success; however, we are proud to support other academic priorities as well.

Obviously, the best way for the Fund to meet its mission is to understand the programmatic support, equipment and technology needs of the faculty. We can learn of these needs in at least four ways:
- Through the TJ administration. The administration sets the priorities via the needs list for the Fund's disbursement (except when donors make specific requests). This is the most appropriate form of communication about your needs.
- Meetings with the Partnership Fund staff (Gary Bottorff). Part of Gary's job is to help understand your needs so that he may try and match those needs up with donors.
- The Fund has a TJ faculty member serve in an ex officio Board position to facilitate communications. In school year 2007-09, that is Mr. Robert Latham. Informal communications to the faculty Board member, Mr. Latham, can facilitate getting you started to understand how to get support.
- Brief, informal, educational meetings with the Fund Board.
Students
Bright ideas? Equipment you want? Research you are excited about?
Talk to your teachers, your parents, and the administration. If you know what you think is needed, make a point to talk to Mr. Bottorff in the TJ Partnership Fund office in Room 119 or Mr. Robert Latham. They can help you get started to connect with donors who may step up to the need.
