Tommy Awards
The "Tommy" Award -- lightheartedly named after Mr. Jefferson in the spirit of contemporary awards (Grammys, Tonys, Emmys etc.) is given in recognition of outstanding commitment to educational excellence through significant support of Thomas Jefferson High School.
"Tommy" awards are given to those individuals whose financial and/or time commitments to TJ are far above and beyond the call of volunteerism; and to corporations and foundations whose donations of technologies, cash and supplies represent a substantial and significant advancement for TJ's curriculum activities.
Annual Fund
The Jefferson Partnership Fund Honor Roll will reflect cumulative annual fund giving within the Partnership Fund’s fiscal year. The list of all Annual Fund donors will be mounted on the donor wall located in the lobby of the main entrance to the school. The names shown are shown as they appear in our donor records or as requested by the donor. Anonymity will be honored upon request.
The TJHSST Partnership Fund respects the privacy of its donors. Our donor lists are never sold, rented, traded, released or published other than on this donor wall and in our Annual Report.

Leadership - $1,000 - $1,999
Affiliate - $2,000 - $9,999
Philanthropist - $10,000 - $19,999
Benefactor - $20,000 - $99,999
Cum Laude - $100,000 - $249,999
Magna cum Laude - $250,000+
Life-Long Cumulative Giving
Leadership in Giving Wall of Honor will ensure that future generations of students, alumni, parents, and faculty, foundations, industry and government partners will recognize and appreciate the generosity of those donors who have contributed a minimum of $10,000 to support educational excellence at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
Placed in the lobby of the main entrance to the school, the Jefferson Wall of Honor lists donors’ cumulative gifts and pledges received since the inception of the TJHSST Partnership Fund in 1999. The name of each major donor is engraved on an individual plate. Donor records for cumulative giving will be reviewed an annual basis to identify new inductees and for upgrades in recognition of current honorees by cumulative giving categories.
Life-Long Cumulative Giving Recognition Levels
Jefferson Circle - $10,000 to $49,999
Principal's Circle - $50,000 to $99,999
Chairman's Circle - $100,000 to $249,999
Benefactor of Honor - $250,000 to $499,999
Benefactor of Distinction - $500,000 to $999,999
Visionary - More than $1 million
Legacy Society
All donors who make an irrevocable or revocable planned gift of $1,000 or more receive permanent recognition on the Legacy Society plaque until the gift is realized at which time their name will be transferred to the appropriate recognition level on the Jefferson Wall of Honor. The Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have included the TJHSST Partnership Fund in their estate plans through a bequest, charitable trust or annuity, life insurance policy or other planned gift.
