To achieve its mission, the Partnership Fund:

Great Expectations

From the very beginning, 20 years ago, TJ has been a story about Great Expectations. The "Founding Fathers" whose vision created the school had great expectations it would prepare kids for the emerging Era of Technology. The School Board and the County had "great expectations" that the school would put Fairfax County on the science and technology map, and draw great teachers and kids from all over Northern Virginia. Employers had "great expectations" that the kids, once graduated, would contribute to the local emergence of the high-tech industry.

Twenty-one years later, those "great expectations" are, if anything greater than ever. Our kids today now face an new "Era of Competition," for college slots, for jobs, for growth and advancement. Our nation faces tremendous challenges in science and technology from other nations.
