Representatives from two dozen businesses met with TJ students during TJ’s first ever Internship Fair, held January 20th and hosted by the TJ Partnership Fund and TJ’s College & Career Center. Tables filled both the first-floor DaVinci Commons and second-floor Curie Commons of the School’s new Research Lab Wing, as over 170 students spent part of their 8th period learning what the companies had to offer.
Participating companies included two on the Washington Post’s 2015 list of Top (Large) Workplaces – Capital One and MITRE, four with strong alumni connections – Ntrepid, 1776, Anant Corp., and Yext (in addition, Capital One was represented by three TJ alums), and six with strong parent connections – Ntrepid, CoSolutions, Inc., Delta Corp., Insystech, Tiger Innovations, and Zolon Tech.
One software company executive mentioned receiving 90 strong resumes. Many were almost as impressed with TJ’s new facilities as they were with our students.
